This is a legit authentic Mexican restaurant. If you don't speak Spanish, you might feel a little out of place. Hold your ground, because this place is worth it. You can opt to eat there or order to-go. We've never eat there, so we walk up to the cashier and wait until someone takes our order. It's a little chaotic, but eventually someone acknowledges you. Okay I've so far have ordered their horchata, homemade tortillas and beans (lard free). All good. My husband has had their carne asada burritos. Again good. No bathrooms. I find that strange for a place where you can dine at. I like to wash my hands before eating. So minus one star for that. Parking is hard. You have to hunt for street parking on the wild Middlefield Road. Hats off to you for trying. I've always found something, but after getting my heart rate up a little bit. LOL. I leave this review saying give Taqueria Gonzales a try and see what you think.

Reasonably priced and authentic Mexican restaurant. Has been in business at the same location for decades. Hand made tortillas. Friendly staff. Highly recommendedz

This place has the best Menudo on the peninsula hands down. The homemade fresh tortillas are amazing as well. Highly recommend it, you won't be disappointed.

He visitado Taquería Gonzalez en diferentes ocasiones y aún me queda probar más comidas del menú. - Birria de chivo: a mi pareja le encantan los tacos y el consomé - Menudo: Está rico, traten de venir temprano para alcanzar lo mejor! - Tacos de asada: la carne es reseca para mi gusto, la sirven muy dorada pero me encantan las tortillas a mano. Recientemente agregaron variedad de salsas a la mesa, antes se le tenían que pedir a la mesera. - Chilaquiles verdes: riquísimos! Ojalá tuviera una foto. Las tortillas son doraditas y la salsa super rica. - Morisqueta: muy rica - Enchiladas michoacanas: deliciosas, no las sirven muy grasosas y el pollo tiene el "crisp" perfecto. - Bebidas: hemos probado agua de horchata y la michelada. Ambas super ricas! La razón de las 4 estrellas es porque estaría bien que aceptaran tarjeta y porque la mayoría de las sillas estan desbalanceadas, estaría bien que le invirtieran en mejores sillas.

The food and staff is all great! Loved it all!!! I had the shrimp tacos in a hard shell and the hard shell was the best I ever had...so good. Also al pastor tacos which family member enjoyed. Definitely recommend this place.

Their menudo is one of the best in the area. After visiting the top ten rated in San Jose it was time to venture up the peninsula. The fresh corn tortillas are a great show and wonderful with the menudo. Parking is a challenge and the area is very eclectic. Don't leave anything visible in the car because it's mostly street parking and there are multiple signs of broken car windows along the curb. I'll go back for sure.

Another hole in the wall place near my work. I love the simplicity of their menu here. It states here are the few things we are good at, and we are confident you will like it. They are known for their birria tacos and from what I know their menudos. I will have to try the menudo some other time, but I have heard from some of my students that it is very good. I am also a quesadilla guy, so I had to try their quesadilla here. It was good, I really like the way their meat came out here, it was just really tasty to me. The birria tacos here were really good, I could have like ten of those if I wanted to. Perhaps next time.
